We built the firm we wish had hired us
Josh Pros places technology consultants into contract roles across the United States, and builds software for clients who need it done properly. Both halves of the business run on the same principle: tell people the truth, then do what you said.
Why this company exists
Anyone who has worked contract technology roles in the US knows the pattern. The recruiter who cannot pronounce the stack. The resume submitted to a client you never agreed to. The invoice paid sixty days late because the vendor above them paid late. The bench that somehow becomes unpaid. The four vendor layers nobody mentioned.
None of that is inevitable. Most of it is a choice a firm makes because the consultant has less power than the client and the firm bets they will not walk. We took the other bet: that consultants talk to each other, that reputation compounds, and that the cheapest way to fill a role is to have people who already want to work with you.
What we will not do
- We will not submit your resume without your approval for that exact role and client.
- We will not bench you unpaid. For H-1B employees that is also the law, and we think the law has it right.
- We will not hide the layers. If there is a prime vendor or MSP between us and the client, you will know.
- We will not pay you late because a client paid us late. That is our cash-flow problem.
How we hire
We evaluate every applicant on skills, experience, and fit. We do not screen for, prefer, or exclude anyone based on citizenship or immigration status — both because it would be unlawful under 8 U.S.C. §1324b, and because it would be a stupid way to find good engineers.
Separately, and importantly: for the consultants we do hire who need employer sponsorship, we are properly set up to provide it, and we pay for it. Those are two different things and it is worth keeping them straight.
What we build
Alongside staffing, we run a delivery practice: AI systems, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and custom software. It keeps our technical screening honest — the engineers who interview our candidates are the same ones shipping production code.
