Add senior engineers to your team without adding headcount
Your roadmap did not shrink because hiring froze. Staff augmentation gets senior engineers into your standups, your repos, and your sprint — under your direction, on your process, without a req.
Engineers in your standup, not contractors in orbit
You manage the work. We manage the employment, the payroll, the benefits, the compliance, and the immigration paperwork. That division of labour is the entire product.
Team Extension
Senior engineers who join your standup, your board, and your code review — and are held to your definition of done.
- Your tools and your process
- Your sprint, your ceremonies
- On-call rotation if you want them there
- Direct line to your tech lead
Specialist Skills On Demand
When you need Kubernetes or Snowflake for six months, not forever.
- Cloud and platform engineering
- Data and AI/ML
- Security
- Legacy and modernisation
Elastic Capacity
Scale up when a funded initiative is slipping. Scale down without severance or a redundancy process.
- Two weeks notice either way
- No ramp-down liability
- Surge for a delivery deadline
- Sustained augmentation for a roadmap
Fast Onboarding
Kickoff to first meaningful commit in 5–10 business days, because a contractor who spends a month getting access is money on fire.
- Access and environment checklist up front
- Codebase walkthrough in week one
- Paired with one of your engineers
- First PR inside two weeks
We Carry the Employment
Payroll, compliance, insurance, and immigration paperwork are ours. Your legal team does not have to think about it.
- W-2 employment and payroll
- Insurance and compliance
- Work authorization sponsorship
- Background and eligibility checks
Convert Any Time
If you want to hire them permanently, we will not block it with a punitive fee.
- Declining conversion schedule
- Try before you commit
- No hostage-taking
- The consultant gets a say
When staff augmentation is the right call
And, just as importantly, when it is not.
When you know what to build
A funded initiative is slipping and the team is at capacity. Headcount is frozen but budget is not. This is exactly the problem augmentation solves.
When it is the wrong call
If the real problem is that nobody has decided what to build, no number of contractors fixes it. We will say so rather than take the work.
It is not working out?
Tell us in the first two weeks and we replace them. No charge, no argument. It rarely happens, because we screen technically before we submit.
From call to first commit
Usually two to three weeks, including notice periods.
Scope
Skills, seniority, timeline, and how they will plug into your team.
Slate
A short list, technically screened, genuinely interested.
Onboard
Access, environment, and codebase walkthrough in week one.
Deliver
They are in your sprint. We handle everything behind them.
When staff augmentation is the right call
It is the right call when you know exactly what needs building and simply do not have the hands. It is the wrong call when the problem is that nobody has decided what to build — no amount of contractors fixes that, and we will say so.
- A funded initiative is slipping because the team is at capacity
- You need a specific skill (Kubernetes, Snowflake, LLM deployment) for six months, not forever
- Headcount is frozen but budget is not
- You want to try someone before converting them to a permanent role
How our consultants integrate
An augmented engineer who sits outside your process is worthless. Ours join your standup, your board, your on-call rotation if you want them there, and your code review — and they are held to your definition of done.
You manage the work. We manage the employment, the payroll, the compliance, and the immigration paperwork. That division of labour is the entire product.
What it costs, honestly
Staff augmentation carries a bill rate above a salaried equivalent, because it is elastic and carries no severance, no benefits liability, and no ramp-down risk for you. What it should not carry is four vendor layers each clipping a margin. We tell you our margin. If there is a prime vendor or MSP in the chain, you will know.
Questions we get asked
Remote, onsite, or hybrid?
All three. A large share of our placements are fully remote across the US; we also place onsite and hybrid in most major metros.
How fast can someone start?
For consultants already on our bench, days. For a targeted search, typically two to three weeks including notice periods.
What if the person is not working out?
Tell us in the first two weeks and we replace them, no charge, no argument. It rarely happens, because we screen technically before we submit.
Can we convert them to full-time?
Yes. We use a declining conversion fee that reaches zero over time. We will not block a consultant from a permanent role they want.
Need hands on the roadmap?
Send us the skills and the timeline. We will come back with a realistic slate and an honest read on how hard it will be.
