Engagement models

Pick the structure that actually fits you

Not sure which applies to you? Message us and describe your situation — we will tell you plainly, even if the answer is "stay where you are."
What you get with us

Six reasons consultants stay with us

Not a list of slogans. These are the things consultants tell us made the difference, and the things we will hold ourselves to.

1. A marketing team that works, hard

Your profile does not sit in a database waiting for a keyword to match. Our team actively markets you to live requirements every day — and tells you exactly where you have been submitted, every time.

2. Senior recruiters, not script readers

The people representing you have been doing this for years and understand the technology on the requirement. You will not have to explain the difference between Java and JavaScript to the person selling you.

3. You talk to peers in your own field

Before we submit you, you speak with someone who has actually done the work you do. That is how we know you are a genuine fit — and it is why our submissions convert instead of wasting your afternoon.

4. Transparent rates

You know the pay rate, the end client, the contract length, and how many vendor layers sit in the chain — before you interview, not after the offer.

5. Competitive rates, negotiated properly

We benchmark against what the market is really paying for your skill in your metro, and we push for it. If a requirement cannot support what you are worth, we will tell you rather than talk you down.

6. Work authorization support when you need it

H-1B transfers, extensions, amendments, and employment-based green cards for consultants on our W-2 — filed properly and filed early. See how it works.

Hold us to it

If we ever fall short on any of these, email contact@joshpros.com and it goes straight to leadership. We would far rather fix it than have you tell the community we didn't.

FAQ

Questions we get every week

What is the difference between W-2 and corp-to-corp?

On W-2 you are our employee: we withhold taxes, run payroll, and can sponsor immigration petitions. On corp-to-corp (C2C) we contract with your own company or your employer of record, and you invoice us. C2C usually carries a higher hourly rate because you are carrying your own taxes and overhead. Both are legitimate; which one is right depends on your situation, and we will talk it through with you honestly.

How often do you pay?

W-2 consultants are paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. On corp-to-corp, payment terms are set in the agreement we sign with your company — they vary by engagement, and you will know exactly what they are before you sign, not after. Late payment is the single most common complaint about staffing firms in this market, and we treat meeting our agreed terms as a hard commitment rather than an aspiration.

Do you pay during the bench?

Yes for W-2 employees. If a project ends and the gap is caused by us, you remain on payroll. For H-1B employees this is not optional — federal rules require the employer to pay the required wage during employer-caused non-productive time.

Will you tell me the client name and the actual rate?

Yes, before you interview. You will know who the end client is, whether there is a middle layer, the bill rate context, your pay rate, the contract length, and the extension likelihood. We do not submit your resume anywhere without your explicit approval for that specific role.

Do you do right-to-hire?

Frequently. Many of our contracts are contract-to-hire. If you want to go permanent with the client, we will not stand in the way.

How do I know how many vendor layers are in a requirement?

Ask, and we will tell you. Every layer between us and the end client takes a margin out of the same bill rate, which is the single biggest reason consultants end up underpaid without understanding why. You should be asking this of every firm, not just us.

Ready when you are.
