Electrical Engineer (Hardware / PCB Design)

About this role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to own hardware design from schematic through board bring-up and validation. You will design analog and digital circuits, capture schematics, drive PCB layout, and work hands-on in the lab to bring boards up and debug them. The role partners with mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to deliver manufacturable, reliable hardware.

Responsibilities:
- Design analog and digital circuits and capture schematics for new and revised boards.
- Own or direct multi-layer PCB layout, including component selection, footprints, and stack-up.
- Perform board bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting in the lab.
- Address signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI early in the design.
- Prepare BOMs, design documentation, and support design-for-manufacturability and test.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers, and with contract manufacturers.

Requirements

  • Schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout (Altium, OrCAD, or Cadence Allegro)
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
  • Component selection, BOM management, and design documentation
  • Board bring-up, validation, and lab debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters
  • Signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI considerations
  • Interfaces and buses such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, DDR
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT)
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers/processors and working alongside firmware teams
  • Reading datasheets and reference designs and translating requirements into hardware
  • Bonus: high-speed digital design, power electronics, or RF experience
