Job description
Regional-Level Medicine. Strong Specialty Support. A Schedule That Gives You Your Life Back.
Some Emergency Medicine opportunities require physicians to choose between interesting clinical medicine, strong compensation and quality of life.
This position offers a compelling combination of all three.
We are recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians for a 373-bed regional referral hospital serving patients from a multi-state area across Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois.
This is an established medical center with broad specialty resources, experienced leadership and the clinical depth expected of a major regional hospital without the traffic, housing costs and everyday friction of a major metropolitan market.
Compensation & Practice Structure
$300/hour — Day shifts
$315/hour — Night shifts
Position offers incredible tax benefits!
Sign-on incentives available
Relocation assistance available
Fully paid malpractice coverage and tail!
Approximately 35 physician coverage hours daily
Approximately 36 APP coverage hours daily
APP coverage concentrated primarily in Fast Track
Broad specialty backup and referral capabilities
Stable Emergency Department leadership
Fewer Days at the Hospital
One of the most attractive aspects of this opportunity is the ability to work longer shifts and consolidate your clinical schedule.
Depending upon the schedule selected, a full-time physician may be able to complete their monthly clinical commitment in roughly 10 days per month.
That can create an entirely different lifestyle than positions requiring physicians to repeatedly return to the hospital for shorter shifts throughout the month.
It may also make this opportunity particularly attractive for physicians interested in block scheduling or those who want to maintain flexibility outside of clinical medicine.
A True Regional Medical Center
This hospital serves as a major referral destination for communities throughout Kentucky and portions of neighboring states. Physicians have access to the specialty support and clinical resources that are often missing from smaller community Emergency Departments.
There are also opportunities for physicians interested in future leadership or administrative involvement.
Why Consider Kentucky?
The State & region offers:
Significantly lower housing costs than most major metropolitan areas
Minimal traffic and short commutes
Excellent boating, fishing and outdoor recreation
A strong local arts, dining and cultural community
Very short drive to Nashville
Approximately 2 hours from St. Louis
You need not live in a major metropolitan market to practice meaningful, high-acuity Emergency Medicine and enjoy a phenomenal lifestyle! You shouldn't have to sacrifice your life outside medicine to do it.
If strong compensation, substantial specialty support and a schedule designed around fewer working days sounds appealing, I'd be happy to share the details confidentially
