About this role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain current-state and target-state architecture using TOGAF/ADM and enterprise architecture frameworks
- Own architecture roadmaps, capability models, and reference architectures across business, data, application, and technology layers
- Chair and support the architecture review board; define architecture principles, standards, and governance
- Partner with business and IT leadership to align technology investments with business outcomes
- Guide cloud, integration, and modernisation strategy, including build-vs-buy and platform selection decisions
- Review solution designs for alignment with enterprise standards, security, scalability, and total cost of ownership
- Produce architecture artefacts and decision records, and present trade-offs to executive stakeholders
Work mode: This is a 100% onsite role in Houston, TX — no remote or hybrid option.
Employment: Contract on our W-2 only. Candidates must hold independent work authorisation (no third-party employer or sponsorship arrangement). Rate depends on experience.
Requirements
- Must have: TOGAF certification (active)
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect across business, data, application, and technology architecture
- Hands-on experience building target-state architectures, capability maps, and multi-year roadmaps
- Architecture governance experience — principles, standards, architecture review boards
- Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modernisation of legacy estates
- Integration architecture: APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, ESB/middleware
- Security, compliance, and data governance considerations embedded into architecture decisions
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's a plus)
- Work mode: onsite in Houston, TX (mandatory)
