About this role

About the company
A venture-backed marketplace modernizing how brands buy sports and live event sponsorships. Most of this market still runs on cold email, spreadsheets, and one-off negotiations, with no central place to buy it the way brands buy digital media. This company is building that platform. Brands use it to find, evaluate, and buy sponsorships, and thousands of properties use it to list and sell their inventory. Clients include major national brands and professional sports teams, leagues, venues, and entertainment properties.

The role
Engineers here build infrastructure for a market that has never had any: search across properties and sponsorship assets, a deal engine for proposals, contracts, and payments, and measurement for media that has never been measured well.

The team is small, so you will not be boxed into one part of the codebase. You will work across marketplace UX, seller tools, buyer workflows, data pipelines, and integrations. You will work directly with the Head of Engineering and the founders, and your code reaches real users right away. This is a demanding role on hard problems, in office Monday through Friday, with any weekend work done remotely.

Tech stack
- TypeScript
- Next.js and React (full stack; server side knowledge is important)
- Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui
- Postgres with Prisma ORM
- Vercel hosting
- Git and GitHub

What you will do
- Ship features across the full stack: frontend, backend, APIs, and data layer
- Own features end to end, from data model and technical design through deployment and the metrics that show they worked
- Build search, matching, personalization, and AI-powered recommendations that connect brands with the right inventory
- Model sponsorship data: properties, assets, packages, pricing, and audience data
- Build deal infrastructure: proposals, contracts, payments, and payouts between brands and properties
- Help build the measurement product that shows brands what a sponsorship actually delivered
- Use AI to move faster, both in how you build and in what ships (LLM-powered listing ingestion, matching, and recommendations)
- Partner with designers to turn prototypes into polished production software
- Contribute to architecture and technical decisions with the founders

What they are looking for
- Extensive TypeScript and React experience
- Product minded: you care why something is being built, not just how
- Strong attention to detail and good UI/UX instincts
- Daily user of AI coding tools who knows how to get real leverage from them
- Something you built on your own: a side project, startup, or open source library
- High agency: when there is no playbook, you write one
- No years of experience or pedigree requirement. New grads and senior engineers are both welcome

Nice to have
- Node.js and backend experience, Postgres, and data modeling
- Experience with marketplaces, payments, or search
- Early-stage startup experience wearing multiple hats
- Passion for sports, live events, or the entertainment business
