About this role

About the company
A venture-backed marketplace modernizing how brands buy sports and live event sponsorships. Most of this market still runs on cold email, spreadsheets, and one-off negotiations, with no central place to buy it the way brands buy digital media. This company is building that platform, where brands find, compare, and close sponsorship deals and properties list and sell their inventory. Clients include major national brands and professional sports teams, leagues, venues, and entertainment properties.

The role
You will own the supply side of the marketplace. That means bringing sports teams, event organizers, festivals, and venues onto the platform, helping them package and sell their sponsorship inventory, and building the relationships that make the platform their first stop for sponsorship. Partners you bring on gain access to hundreds of brands actively looking to sponsor. You will work directly with the founders, your feedback will shape the product, and your relationships will shape the inventory.

What you will do
- Own a core part of the partner pipeline: sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management
- Build and run an outbound strategy targeting event organizers, festival producers, venues, and entertainment properties
- Create the supply acquisition playbook: what works, what scales, and what does not
- Lead discovery calls and product demos
- Lead strategic conversations with major properties and multi-property organizations
- Partner with the founders on supply strategy, pricing insights, and which verticals to prioritize
- Bring partner feedback directly to product and engineering to shape the roadmap
- Represent the company at major sports business conferences and industry dinners
- Own your metrics: pipeline, onboarding speed, listing quality, and deal flow
- Over time, hire and lead the partnerships team as the function grows

What they are looking for
- 1 to 5 years in partnerships, sales, sports, live events, entertainment, banking, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of the sports and live events business: how properties make money and how sponsorship inventory is structured, priced, and valued
- An existing network of decision makers at teams, venues, festivals, and event organizations, and a clear sense of how deals get done
- Warm relationships you can bring on day one across sports properties, event organizers, and venue operators
- Owner mindset: you carry the full relationship from first outreach to signed listing to long term partnership
- Strong storyteller who can pitch a marketplace to a VP of Partnerships, an event producer, or a team's sales director
- High agency: when there is no playbook, you write one
- Thrives in a high bar, fast paced environment
- Genuinely part of the sports and live events world: you go to events, follow sports, and care about the culture

Location: New York, NY (On-site)
Pay: $90k - $120k per year
Work authorization: US Citizen or Permanent Resident
