Role Summary & Objective
The Mechanical Project Manager directs the delivery of mechanical and HVAC/R sheet metal operations for commercial construction projects, managing air distribution, ductwork, equipment setup, and subcontractor coordination.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Project & Schedule Coordination: Establish project schedules and coordinate with internal teams including pre-construction, safety, estimating, and BIM/fabrication.
• Submittals & Procurement: Review technical equipment submittals and procure necessary mechanical materials and vendor packages.
• Field & Subcontractor Oversight: Issue trade subcontracts, monitor daily field progress, and ensure adherence to milestones.
• Financial Management: Manage project budgets, revenue forecasts, schedules of values, and the change-order process.
• Quality & Safety: Implement safety plans, review drawings for design conflicts, and create schedule recovery plans as needed.
🎓 Job Requirements
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, along with 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R project management experience (or equivalent combination).
• Skills: Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, proficiency in construction software (Procore/BIM), and excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
