The client is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax engagements, support client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of its New Jersey practice.
This role is suited to a technically strong public accounting professional who enjoys managing client work, mentoring team members, and developing as a leader within a growing organization.
The Tax Manager will work closely with firm leadership while delivering tax and advisory services to closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, and individual clients. The position offers direct mentorship and a clear pathway for long-term advancement within Accounting First Group’s growing national platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements.
Ensure tax deliverables are accurate, compliant, and completed on schedule.
Prepare and review tax returns, projections, workpapers, and related documentation.
Support tax-planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and technical expertise.
Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants.
Coordinate engagement workflow, deadlines, budgets, and scheduling.
Research and resolve federal, state, and multistate tax matters.
Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes and client-service delivery.
Support the implementation of technology and best practices across tax engagements.
Work with colleagues across Accounting First Group’s national network.
